Workforce and Digital Health Strategy

Strategy Development

Western Victoria Primary Health Network (WVPHN) is working to understand the current state of workforce development and digital health across our region via the development of key strategy documents

The Workforce strategy will identify actions and activities to support the current workforce and attract the future workforce to primary care in western Victoria.

The digital health strategy aims to identify the current and future needs of digital health and digital literacy in the western Victoria region, and how we as a PHN can lead and support this these transitions.

What we know so far

Recent workforce reports from WVPHN commissioned programs and general practices highlight the challenges faced by primary care providers in rural areas, primarily concerning workforce recruitment and retention.

These challenges will impact on the health outcomes of the community without suitable local actions and broader health system advocacy.

Using data to profile the health workforce, and a more comprehensive understanding of the issues, through stakeholder engagement and consultation, a range of actions will be developed.

Your opportunity to participate

WVPHN are inviting General Practice and Service Providers to attend upcoming workshops to contribute your experiences, thoughts and ideas as part of workforce strategy and digital health strategy.

Upcoming workshops will be face to face in locations across WVPHN

The workshops will be delivered between 28 March and 8 April 2022, to register to attend please click here

A range of opportunities are available to participate. If you are unable to attend a workshop, feedback and ideas can be contributed via the ideas tab below
